Therthangal Bird Sanctuary
This is the 14th bird sanctuary in the state and the fourth one in Ramanathapuram. Spread over 70 acres, it has numerous babul trees that make ideal nesting sites. These apart, there are lots of tamarind, neem and banyan trees in the near vicinity.
