Pulicat Lake Bird Sanctuary
The Pulicat Lake Bird Sanctuary is the second largest after the Chilka lake. Due to its tremendous bio diversity, hundreds of thousands of migratory birds throng this ancient lagoon which is famous for its flamingos. During winters this water body attracts around 15,000 flamingos among other wetland birds. Eco-tourism is promoted here by traditional boats rather than motorised ones. A perfect place for bird watching and aquatic sports.
