Nellai Wildlife Sanctuary
In a tiny village in Tirunelveli district, a new sanctuary is taking shape. Around 35 species of birds roost here for breeding, and migrate after the season. Villagers fiercely protect the nests and fledglings, and those who meddle with the birds are punished.
