Karaivetti Bird Sanctuary

TTDC / Karaivetti Bird Sanctuary
Located in one of the largest freshwater lakes in the state, this sanctuary invites over 188 species of birds. The migrants from afar are the bar headed goose, the white stork, wooly necked stork, rosy pelican, spoonbill, open bill stork and grey heron. It also attracts 16 species of ducks and 14 species of waders, apart from diving birds like the kingfisher and cormorant. The lake also supports 15 varieties of fish.
