Spread over an area of one and half acres, this sits on the summit of the rock. A long walk up a flight of narrow steps leads to this imposing structure. The site also has two rock–cut cave temples located on both sides of the hill dedicated to Narasimhaswamy and Ranganathasamy. Explore the Jedarpalayam Dam located in Kabilarmalai Panchayat Union of Namakkal District. A much loved tourist spot, this dam is constructed across the River Cauvery.
If you are a culture buff and got a taste for brilliant architecture, pay a visit to Namagiri Amman temple. Marvel at the gigantic stone statue of Visvarupa Anjaneya and the timeless sculptures celebrating the greatness of Pallava and Chalukya art. The famous Arthanareeswarar temple at Tiruchengode, one of the oldest temples in this region is also a must visit spot. Clambering up 2500 steps to reach the temple of Swami Venkatajalapathi set atop the Naina Malai hill is another experience that awaits you at Namakkal.
