The Lake Park, as the name suggests, is located on the banks of the Ooty Lake. It is the perfect place to laze around and spend a leisurely day in, and is located in the city centre just opposite the railway station and near the bus terminus.
The exotic garden here displays wide swathes of flower beds filled with vibrant seasonal flowers. The reclaimed lake used to be part of the garden in 1977, which was funded by the Tourism Department under Hill Area Development Programme. The highlight of the park is the illumination of different hues of light during dark hours. The fibreglass dome here was constructed in 1978. There are dinosaur statues and entertaining games to occupy the kids.
